Roush Stage 1

Next on the Roush line-up. The Roush Stage 1 Mustang. This model also starts with the Mustang GT as its building format. This vehicle has the same 300 HP as the Roush Sport model. The Stage 1 has a few options available that are not available on the Sport. You get the 18″ chrome wheels and tire package standard. But can upgrade to 20″ if interested. The major differences between the Roush Stage 1 and the Sport are the wheel and brake upgrade options. Also available for this model is the Gauge cluster w/illuminated “Jack Roush” autograph.

So if I were to have to decide between the two. I would have to opt for the Roush Stage 1. I like the bigger wheel style. And also the brake upgrade option is a great idea and you wouldn’t have to worry about hours in the garage, spilling your beer, hitting your knuckles to upgrade the brakes later. Of course maybe this is your idea of fun (it is for me when time allows). Or maybe you will just take it into a shop. Any option you choose should always meet your needs and time criteria. Below are the standard and available options for this machine.

As you can see, these are common wheels anymore. True I do have Bullit wheels on my stang, but I chose some other features to make my pony stand out. I’ve been contemplating buying new wheels for my 85gt and found some great deals online. Go check out AndysAutoSport.com and their line of Black Mustang Wheels

Here is the next car in the Roush corral. It’s the Roush Sport Mustang. They start with a base GT Mustang and add a few extras. And in the end you have a beautiful Roush Mustang that is quicker than the V6 model. Has some sleeker styling, and better handling from the GT suspension. This car is still more of a look enhancement package.

The 300 Horses under the hood are much more appealing to people than the 210 HP in the V6. The pricing for the Roush Sport Mustang depends on the options you choose. A stock GT Mustang is around $25,000. The core package of this vehicle is $6487. Plus there are more options if you choose and it fits your pocket book.

Below are a list of the options you get with this SPORTY Roush Mustang.

Other options include suspension, brakes, and wheel upgrades. But I don’t have the pricing for those options. You can check with the Roush website or contact a Roush Performance Dealer and get the pricing on these extra options. You will have a much better handling car if you opt for these extras. Remember, the Roush Sport is built from a stock Mustang GT. So in turn, you get the stock drivetrain, suspension and brakes.

Roush V6

Ok, here we have the Roush V6 Mustang. This is the first car in the Roush corral. Although the Horsepower is minimal compared to the Ford Mustang GT, or any other Roush Mustang, you have to remember one thing. This car still comes with 210 HP. Which is only 15 HP shy of the beloved ‘87-’93 foxbody cars.

So this will still be a fun car to drive. And with the extra options you get great styling, sporty look, and a Ford Mustang that carries the Jack Roush name. Here are the added options that are put onto a stock V6 to transform it into a worthy Mustang of carrying the Roush emblems.

Roush V6 Mustang Components: $5195 + S&H

- Roush Hood Scoop

- Roush Rear Decklid Spoiler

- Roush Rear Quarter Window Louvers (Coupe Only)

- Roush Convertible Light/Style Bar (Convertible Only)

- Roush 18-Inch Cast Chrome Wheels w/High Performance Tires

- Roush Embroidered Floor Mats

- Roush Sport Four Piece Pedal Kit – Manual Trans (Three Piece on Automatic)

- Locking Lug Nuts

- Roush Billet Shift Knob w/Grips (Manual Trans Only)

- Roush Graphics Package

- Roush Door Sill Plates

- Roush Fender Badges

- Roush Front Windshield Banner

OPTIONAL COMPONENTS

- Roush Sport Leather Seating — $1725

- Interior Dash Trim Kit (carbon fiber design) — $350

- Trunk mounted tool kit — $295

- Rear Window Louvers (Matte Black, coupes only) — $875

Prices are on top of standard V6 Ford Mustang pricing.

So over all it’s a fun, stylish, great all around sports car with the Roush seal of approval. And not to mention, a V6 Mustang is cheaper on insurance if this is a big factor of your Mustang budget. And remember, there are alot of aftermarket parts for a V6 Mustang nowadays. This could easily be brought up to 400HP without rebuilding or installing a new engine. The options are almost endless.

Below are some photos of the Roush V6 Mustang. As of right now this vehicle isn’t a big seller. But it is an option for an entry level Roush Mustang.

Roush V6 Wheel

Now remember, I did a test drive review on the standard Ford Mustang V6. This package is fairly similar except for some nice styling features. The chrome wheels are a nice add-on also. But for me, I like to have something that stands out and sets me aside from the other ‘EVERYDAY’ stang.

So check out AndysAutoSport.com and their line of Chrome Mustang Wheels. They can help you make your mark on the Mustang Scene!!
