The 2010 Roush Mustang
For a couple years we have heard that 2010 will be another big
advance in the Mustang scene. Well I had the grand experience to be at
the unveiling of The 2010 Roush Mustang.
It was a great "FIRST" in my life. I will write more on that
later. This page is for the new 2010 Roush Mustang 427R. I've got some
great pics. The interior is beautiful. Leather seats, chrome shifter
handle, Mach stereo. Eveyrthing was a smooth design. Ford did great,
once again with the Mustang. And Roush improves the performance all the
way around.
The curves are sleek, and sexy.. just how I like them!
It's hard to keep the smiles back when you look at this beauty. On top
of
the fantastic 2010 Roush Mustang being great, it also will create
another 250 to 300 jobs in the Metro Detroit area. Which we need very
badly. I know as I am one of the recently unemployed!! Detroit seems to
be falling off the map for the auto industry, but Roush is definitely
fighting to keep some history and future projects here in the "D".
That's Detroit... sorry, I get excited sometimes.
Whats the power? ahh yes. I almost forgot. 435HP 400lbs.ft. Now
you know thats conservative for the Roush ratings. With the power also
comes 38% less emissions from the exhaust. (50% is the true number, 38%
was to keep the numbers conservative) Would you believe that you also
pay less for this car from previous ones and one main reason is because
it doesn't get charged for the GAS GUZZLER tax. Yep, 22+ MPG. That is
amazing.
Price range for the 427R which was unveiled March
18th, 2009 is $43,000 for the base on up to $47,000 for the fully
loaded. And get this, Roush's first 2 months of production is already
spoken for. Dealers are selling them before people even have seen this
beast.
You are familiar with Porsche, Lamborghini, Aston Martin, and the
Corvette. All these are great performance cars. But Roush has
accomplished another feat that none of them have. The 2010 Roush
Mustang 427R hits 1.0g on the skid pad!! Cooper is teamed up with Roush
to make a new compound for the tires on the new Roush. The tires allow
for better all around traction in wet and dry scenarios. They also
allow you to enjoy the car on a road coarse with more traction than a
regular performance tire. So you literally can drive to the track, run
all day on the course, then drive home and never change your tires.
Well, unless you spin out and blow one. But lets not think about that.
Along with new Cooper tires, the Cooper testing
facility in Texas is where alot of testing was done to design the all
new suspension on the Roush 427R. Ok, I guess you've heard enough of
me. So I'll finish up with saying I LOVED the new 2010 Roush Mustang.
It is definitely a car I would love to have in my stables. I'd even
consider selling my '85gt to help pay for it. And that's saying alot if
you know my love for my '85. I've
